Abstract:
A process for producing adipic acid, characterized in that a wastewater containing hydroxycaproic acid and discharged from the step of oxidizing cyclohexane with molecular oxygen in a liquid phase is reacted with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a tungsten catalyst in the pH range of 0 to 6.
