Abstract:
A process for aluminum alloy plate production which has excellent productivity
and in which the control of surface state and flatness is easy and plate thickness
precision is improved; and an aluminum alloy plate. The following steps are
conducted in the following order: a melting step (S1) in which an aluminum alloy
containing a given amount of Mn and further containing at least one of Si, Fe, Cu,
Mg, Cr, Zn, and Ti in a given amount, the remainder being Al and unavoidable impurities,
is melted; a hydrogen gas removal step (S2) in which hydrogen gas is removed from
the aluminum alloy melted in the melting step (S1); a filtration step (S3) in which
inclusions are removed from the aluminum alloy from which hydrogen gas has been
removed; a casting step (S4) in which the aluminum alloy from which inclusions
have been removed is cast to produce an ingot; and a slicing step (S6) in which the
ingot is sliced into a given thickness.
