Abstract:
A novel process for producing Bizen ware is provided with which it is possible to further improve the degree of freedom of coloring. Also provided is Bizen ware produced by the process. China clay, e.g., Bizen clay, is formed into a desired shape to obtain a molded clay. A material for decoration is put on the recessed part of the molded clay, and a glass is disposed on the material for decoration. The resultant stack is fired in an oven, e.g., a climbing kiln. As the material for decoration, a plant, a metal, or the like is used. Thus, products of Bizen ware which are equipped with various colored decoration parts can be produced.
