A process for producing calcium phosphate-based particles is disclosed in which a molded object (20) comprising a calcium phosphate-based material as the main component is compressed and crushed with a plurality of acicular projections (16) that project side by side and are arranged in parallel with each other. The process for producing calcium phosphate-based particles uses a crusher, in which one of an upper platen (8) having a plurality of acicular projections (16) projecting downward and arranged horizontally side by side and a lower platen (4) provided thereover with a plate (6) for clogging prevention is moved relatively toward the other by means of a driving means (10), and the acicular projections (16) are made to pierce through the plate (6) for clogging prevention, the molded object (20), and the lower platen (4). Due to the configuration, the yield of calcium phosphate-based particles can be heightened.
