Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a process for producing a decorative building board which comprises a building board having water resistance and weatherability and a highly attractive image formed thereon by ink-jet printing.
For accomplishing the purpose, the invention provides a process for producing a decorative building board, the process including: ejecting an actinic-ray-curable ink from an ink-jet recording head to a building board which comprises a base selected from metallic bases and ceramic bases and, disposed on the base, an ink-receiving layer obtained by curing a resin composition and having an arithmetic average roughness (Ra), as provided for in JIS B 0601:2001, of 0.4-3 µm, thereby printing the ink on the ink-receiving layer; and irradiating the actinic-ray-curable ink with actinic rays during the period from 2.2 seconds to 30 seconds after the delivery of the ink to the ink-receiving layer.
