Abstract:
A process in which a functional molecule capable of ionic dissociation which is stable not only chemically but also thermally under operating conditions required for electrochemical apparatus, such as fuel cells, being suitable for use as a material of, for example, proton conductor of fuel cell can be easily produced with yield higher than in the prior art in an efficient low-cost safe manner. In the second step of synthesizing raw molecule ICF2SO2F through reaction between AgOOCCF2SO2F and iodine, reactants mixed in equivalent ratio are reacted at 110°C higher than in the prior art to thereby enhance the efficiency of production of raw molecule. A gas of produced raw molecule mixed with carbon dioxide is precooled in an outflow channel maintained at -15°C and trapped in a trapping vessel chilled by dry ice to thereby enhance the efficiency of trapping of raw molecule. In the third step having been carried out with the use of an autoclave, fullerene and the raw molecule are reacted with the use of a reaction solvent with a boiling point nearly equal to or higher than the reaction temperature to thereby realize the reaction under atmospheric pressure, or in slightly pressurized condition.
