Abstract:
A purpose of the present invention is to provide a process for producing a laser engraving type flexographic printing plate precursor which is reduced in adhesion of contaminants and in curling that occurs with the lapse of time and which is excellent in terms of inhibition of engraving debris scattering and plate strength. This process for producing a laser engraving type flexographic printing plate precursor is characterized by comprising a formation step in which a heat-curable layer comprising a thermal polymerization initiator, an ethylenically unsaturated compound, and a solvent is formed on a support and a heat-curing step in which the heat-curable layer is heat-cured under a plate disposed apart from the surface of the heat-curable layer at a distance of 0.20-20 mm, thereby obtaining a heat-cured layer, the plate being constituted of an inorganic material.
