Abstract:
A process for producing a marking ink for use to mark an external surface of article, in which at selecting of components mixed in the ink, as soon as the resin constituting the article to be marked is determined, the most suitable mixed components of the ink can be selected. With respect to a series of organic solvents, a series of oil-soluble dyes and a series of oil-soluble resins that can be selected as components mixed in a marking ink, the respective solubility parameters are determined in advance. On the other hand, the solubility parameter of the resin constituting the article to be marked by the marking ink is determined. The organic solvent, oil-soluble dye and oil-soluble resin realizing a given relationship among these solubility parameters are selected as components to be mixed in an ink and compounded to thereby prepare a marking ink.
