Abstract:
A process for producing a metal mold for optical device forming, characterized by including the steps of providing a first stratum of amorphous alloy having a supercooled liquid region on a master transfer surface of master die for forming a molding transfer surface of metal mold for optical device forming; while arranging the surface of the first stratum and a transfer subject surface of base material of metal mold for optical device forming opposite to each other and pressing them to each other, heating the first stratum at temperature not lower than the glass transition temperature of the amorphous alloy having a supercooled liquid region; and detaching the first stratum from the master die so as to effect transfer onto the base material of metal mold for optical device forming.
