Abstract:
A process for producing a modified molded article is provided with which a diaphragm less apt to generate particles is rendered possible. The process for producing a modified molded article is characterized by comprising: a step in which a modified polytetrafluoroethylene comprising tetrafluoroethylene units and modifying-monomer units based on a modifying monomer copolymerizable with tetrafluoroethylene is molded to obtain a molded article; and a step in which the molded article is irradiated at 270-310°C with radiation in a dose of 30 kGy or larger but less than 70 kGy, thereby obtaining a modified molded article.
