Abstract:

A process for multilayer structure production in which it quickly becomes possible, after restarting, to obtain a satisfactory molded object without the need of using a special purging material. In the process, which comprises feeding a saponified ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and other resins(s) to a melting/molding machine having a die to mold a multilayer structure, the saponified ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer residing in the melting/molding machine is allowed to stand at a temperature lower by 0 to 100°C than the melting/molding temperature throughout the period from a melting/molding operation conducted for a certain time to the restarting of a melting/molding operation.
