Title:
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING ORGANIC TRANSITION METAL COMPLEX COMPOUND, METATHESIS CATALYST PRODUCED BY THE PROCESS, METATHESIS POLYMER FORMED BY RING OPENING POLYMERIZATION WITH THE SAME, AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POLYMER WITH THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/046352
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A production process by which an organic transition metal complex compound having an electron-donating group is industrially or economically advantageously synthesized without converting an electron-donating compound into a metal salt; and a metathesis catalyst produced by the process. The process, which is for producing an organic transition metal complex compound, comprises bringing a proton-donating compound into contact with an organic transition metal complex compound having an electron-attracting group in the presence of a basic compound to thereby convert the electron-attracting group to a group having higher electron-donating properties. The metathesis catalyst synthesized by the process is reduced in alkali metal content.
