Abstract:

A process for producing an oxide superconductive wire comprising the step of positioning a metal tape (6) at a position located at a distance (L) of 100 mm or less from a target (7) used for oxide preparation and the step of forming an oxide superconductive layer on the metal tape (6) according to a gas phase method while transferring the metal tape (6) at a speed of 5 m/h or more with the distance (L) between the metal tape (6) and the target (7) kept at 100 mm or less.
