Abstract:
A process for producing a porous structure which comprises: applying to a substrate a liquid mixture comprising (A) an aqueous dispersion of a water-compatible polyurethane, (B) an aqueous dispersion of a urethane prepolymer which has, in the molecular skeleton, 10 to 40% by mass structural unit comprising a polyoxyethylene group having an average molecular weight of 100 to 2,000 and which has been terminated by a blocked isocyanate, and (C) a tertiary amine; and subsequently subjecting the mixture to dry-heat drying or to wet-heat heating and then drying. Also provided are an artificial leather and synthetic leather obtained by the process. By the process, a porous structure having performances comparable to those of porous structures produced by a wet process from a solvent-based polyurethane can be obtained using an aqueous dispersion of a water-compatible polyurethane without using an organic solvent.
