Abstract:

It is intended to provide a novel process for producing soyasapogenol B which is useful as a drug or a material for producing drugs. Sophoradiol employed as a starting material is treated with a hydroxylase originating in a plant to thereby hydroxylate the compound at its 24-position. Thus, the target soyasapogenol B can be efficiently produced.
