Abstract:
A process for producing spherical elementary granules containing a readily
water-soluble drug which comprises spraying a layering liquid over pharmacologically
inert, spherical core particles to coat them with a layer containing a readily
water-soluble drug.In the process, (1) the spherical core particles have a crystalline-celluose
content of 30 mass% or higher and a water retentivity of 0.5 cm3/g or
higher and (2) the layering liquid is an aqueous solution at least containing
a readily water-soluble drug and a poorly water-soluble saccharide. The elementary
granules are suitable for film coating.
