Abstract:
This invention provides a thermal recording material comprising a thermal recording layer, composed mainly of a colorless or light-colored electron-donating leuco dye and an electron-receiving developer, provided on a support. The production process comprises providing a highly functional development layer containing a highly functionalized chemical on the outermost surface layer of a thermal recording material during a period in which the lower layer in contact with the highly functional development layer is in a wet state. Thus, a thermal recording material having a high level of recording density and excellent antisticking properties can be provided.
