Abstract:
A process for production of allyl chloride by reacting allyl alcohol with hydrogen chloride in the presence of a catalyst and distilling formed allyl chloride from the reaction system, wherein the allyl alcohol/hydrogen chloride molar concentration ratio ([AAL]?1/2¿ / [HCL]) of the reaction system is lowered to thereby suppress the formation of diallyl ether as a byproduct.
