Abstract:
A process for the production of an aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion which comprises adjusting the concentration of fluoropolymer or the like in an aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion by use of a phase which is produced by the phase separation of another aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion and is substantially free from fluoropolymer. A process for the production of an aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion which is accompanied with concentration adjustment, characterized by comprising the step (1) of separating an aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion (A) in the presence of a surfactant into a phase (Q) which is substantially free from fluoropolymer and a phase (P) which contains fluoropolymer and recovering the phase (Q) and the step (2) of adjusting the concentration of fluoropolymer in an aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion (B) by use of the phase (Q) recovered in the step (1).
