A process for producing a hydroxyiminoalkenyl cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ester represented by formula (3) (wherein R1 represents an alkyl group which may have a substituent, or a halogen atom; and R2 represents an alkyl group which may have a substituent, or a benzyl group which may have a substituent), comprising an oximation step of reacting a formylalkenyl cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ester represented by formula (1) (wherein R1 and R2 are as defined above) with hydroxylamine in a solvent in the presence of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of carboxylic acids and metal salts of carboxylic acids.
