Title:
PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF ELECTRET MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/119869
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a production process which can produce an electret material having an excellent charge-retentive property under heated conditions. Specifically disclosed is a process for producing an electret material, which comprises an irradiation step, a formation step and an electrical charging step. In the irradiation step, a dispersion containing polytetrafluoroethylene microparticles is irradiated with γ-ray. In the formation step, the dispersion that has been irradiated with γ-ray is applied on an electrode plate, the applied dispersion is dried, and the polytetrafluoroethylene microparticles are burned, thereby forming a polytetrafluoroethylene layer on the electrode plate. In the electrical charging step, the surface of the polytetrafluoroethylene layer is subjected to a electrical charging treatment.
