Abstract:
Disclosed is a process for production of a polyamide resin composition, wherein the process comprises the steps of: immersing a glass fiber roving in a molten polyamide resin; drawing the polyamide-impregnated glass fiber roving while twisting the glass fiber roving, thereby producing a strand; and palletizing the strand to produce the resin composition, wherein the polyamide resin has a melt viscosity falling within a specified range. The process enables to produce a glass fiber-reinforced polyamide resin composition which is excellent in impregnation of the glass fiber roving with the resin and can provide a molded article having excellent mechanical strength and excellent color tone.
