Abstract:
An halogenated aromatic compound can be produced by reacting an aromatic compound
with a halogenating agent. In the aromatic compound solution preparation step,
the aromatic compound is added to a solvent containing no Cl to prepare a solution
of the aromatic compound. In the halogenating agent solution preparation step,
the halogenating agent is added to a solvent containing no Cl to prepare a solution
of the halogenating agent. In the reaction step, the solution of the aromatic
compound is mixed with the solution of the halogenating agent to cause the reaction
between the aromatic compound and the halogenating agent. Preferably, the solvent
is an ether-type dioxane.
