Abstract:
A process for the production of metal salts of radical-polymerizable compounds having lowered water contents, characterized by heating (A) an aqueous solution of a salt of acrylic or methacrylic acid with an alkali or alkaline earth metal or zinc in the presence of (B) a water-soluble polymerization inhibitor under a reduced pressure to distill away the water contained in the component (A).
