Abstract:

The invention provides a process for producing N-alkylaminoalkyl (meth)acrylates reduced in the content of low-boiling components, particularly raw material components without troublesome operation and special equipment, that is, a process for the production of N-alkylaminoalkyl (meth)acrylates which comprises the step (A) of reacting a (meth)acrylic ester with an N-alkylaminoalkyl alcohol in the presence of a catalyst to obtain a reaction fluid containing an N-alkylaminoalkyl (meth)acrylate, the step (B) of distilling off components having boiling points lower than that of the N-alkylaminoalkyl (meth)acrylate from the reaction fluid obtained in the step (A), and the step (C) of distilling the N-alkylaminoalkyl (meth)acrylate from the resulting fluid, characterized by having the step (D) of adjusting the water concentration in the reaction fluid to 0.01 to 1 % by mass in the stage after the step (A) and before the step (C).
