Abstract:
A process for producing an optically active 3-substituted glutaric acid monoamide, characterized by mixing a mixed solution of an optically active 3-substituted glutaric acid monoamide represented by formula (2) (wherein * represents an asymmetric carbon atom; and R1 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 2 to 8 carbon atoms, an alkynyl group having 2 to 8 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 4 to 20 carbon atoms or an aralkyl group having 5 to 20 carbon atoms, wherein each of the alkyl group, the alkenyl group, the alkynyl group, the aryl group and the aralkyl group may have a substituent), a basic compound, water and an organic solvent with an acid to cause the optically active 3-substituted glutaric acid monoamide to precipitate.
