Abstract:

A mixed solution (14) is prepared in a solution preparation vessel (12) by mixing a rubber latex, a resin emulsion, a surfactant and a predetermined amount of water, and then an anti-freezing agent (18) is added to the mixed solution (14), thereby preparing a stock solution (20) for a sealing agent. The stock solution (20) is maintained (allowed to stand) in the solution preparation vessel (12) for at least 24 hours, preferably for 48 hours or longer, without agitating the stock solution. Subsequently, the resulting stock solution (20) is filtered through a filter member (26) composed of a mesh filter having a mesh count of 50 to 400 mesh to remove any latex aggregate (36) formed in the stock solution (20), thereby producing a sealing agent (10) which contains no latex aggregate (36).
