Title:
PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF UNLEVELED PILE FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/051862
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A high-quality pile fabric which has piles arbitrarily different in length and is rich in color variation is provided economically and more easily by subjecting a pile fabric comprising an acrylic shrinkable fiber which is dyeable with a cationic dye in a low temperature region and is reduced in the shrinkage in dyeing by virtue of low-temperature dyeing to dry heat treatment. A process for the production of a pile fabric having piles different in length by using as a down-hair component a fiber obtained by subjecting an acrylic shrinkable fiber that is produced by using as the raw material an acrylic copolymer containing 0.5 to 10 % by weight of a monomer having a sulfonic acid group and that satisfies the relationship (1) (wherein T is a dyeing temperature and S is a shrinkage percentage in the dry heat treatment of 130&ring C × 5min after dyeing) to dyeing with a cationic dye at 60 to 85&ring C. 70-0.726T < S(%) < 85-0.726T (60 < T < 85) (1)
