Abstract:
The invention aims at providing a process for the production of a dispersoid which has one or more metal-oxygen linkages and can be stably dispersed without aggregation, which process is applicable to various metals. Such a dispersoid is produced by hydrolyzing one or more metal compounds in an organic solvent containing one or more alkoxy alcohols by the use of water at a molar ratio of water to the total of the metal compounds of 0.5 to less than 2. The dispersoid enables the production of metal oxide thin films at low temperature and gives homogeneous organic-inorganic composites.
