Title:
PROCESS FOR SALT PRODUCING FROM SEA WATER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/115340
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The process for salt producing from see water consists in azeotropic extraction which is carried out by adding the corresponding solvent to the azeotropic ratio with water. Two phase is formed liquid and solid which are easy separating at the atmospheric pressure and temperature. Advantages of this procedure from others is that carried out fast and simple, at the atmospheric pressure and temperature, with commercial solvent, no energy and additional equipment costs request. The invention finding wide range applications for salt producing from see water.

Description:

PROCESS FOR SALT PRODUCING FROM SEA WATER

1. Technical Field

Invention is regarded to process of the salt producing from see water by azeotropic extraction. Adding the corresponding solvent the solid salt is precpitated from see water. The salt solid phase is started to precpitate on the vessel wall. Invention belongs to field Chemical engineering , Chemistry-C 1.

Technical problem is salt poroduced from see water without water evaporation. Problem is consisted in azeotropic extraction, which carried out by adding corresponding solvent in see water. The solid phase is separated from the liquid phase and precipitates in the vessel. The liquid phase goes up and the solid goes down.

2. Backgraound Art

Many known processes for see salt producing request large energy consumption and expensive equipement. In this invention is shown the new procedure for salt producing from see water without vaporization.

Adding the correspondng solvent to the azeotropic ratio with water, the solid and the liquid phases are formed at the atmospheric pressure and temperature. The liquid phase fill out, and the solid phase goes to storage.

3. Disclosure of the invention

In the frame of this invention was figured out that adding corresponding solvent in see water at the determined ratio is building azeotrope which as a new formed liquid phase simple separates.

In the examples which given as the procedure illustrating according to invention, but is not limiting, supstances salt water and corresponding solvent were used. When determined mole ratio is achieved in the mixture, azeotrope is building and two phases the solid salt and the liquid azeotropic phase are formed. The liquid phase is extracting at the atmospheric pressure and temperature.

hi a vessel wich charged see water is adding step by step the corresponding solvent to determined ratio, when achieved that the salt crystal particles are precipitated. Further, the sold phase is formed and separates from the liquid phase.

The experiments were carried out by batch operation for different charges composition. Separation was performed at the atmospheric pressure and temperature. Procedure duration time was half hour in the laboratoty conditions. Holding time in the salt precipitation depends from salt concentration in see water.

The added solvent was not detected in the water after extraction with accuracy 0.5 x 10 "4 .

The invention has wide application for salt producing from see and ocean.

A process from salt producing from see water

4. Examples

Example 1

In a vessel volume of the 0.5 dm 3 wascharging 30cm 3 see water which contains salt of the 2.0 w.% . Than, the solvent is aided step by step to determined azeotropic ratio when started salt precipitation at the atmospheric pressure and temperature.

Example 2

In a vessel volume of the 0.5 dm was charging 250cm salt water which contains salt of the 4.0 w.% . The selected solvent was adding step by step to the determined azeotropic ratio while achieved conditions for salt crystal precipitation. When the solid phase full precipitated then the liquid phase is extracted.

Example 3

In a vessel volume of the 1 dm 3 was charging of the 550 cm 3 salt water which contains salt of the 5.0 w.%. The selected solvent was adding step by step to the determined azeotropic ratio while achieved conditions for salt crystals precipitation. When the solid phase was full precipitated then the liquid phase extraction was performed.
