Provided are processed fruits and processed foods which omit a production step, which can impart the original taste of the fruit, and which can impart a novel appearance. The processed fruit is obtained by peeling the skin of a citrus, then peeling locular membranes on the outer peripheral portion of a globular assembly of locules, and hollowing out a core portion in the axial direction of the fruit to provide a through-hole which penetrates through the core portion. The processed food is obtained, in a first embodiment, by filling a well-closed container with the processed fruit together with a sugar solution into which a gelling agent is mixed, and performing heat sterilization on the container, and, in a second embodiment, by filling the through-hole of the processed fruit with creamy food.
