Abstract:
A process for producing an isocyanate compound, comprising a step of producing a compound represented by formula (2) from a compound represented by formula (1) by carrying out a trihalomethane removal reaction in the presence of at least one catalyst selected from the group consisting of a phase transfer catalyst, a halide salt of an alkali metal, a halide salt of an alkali earth metal, a halide salt of ammonium, and an ion exchange resin.
(In the formulae, X represents a halogen atom; n represents an integer of 1 or greater; and A represents a n-valent hydrocarbon group.)
