Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a processing agent for synthetic fibers, which is used for the production of synthetic fibers and is capable of remarkably reducing the occurrence of fluff and thread breakage. This processing agent for synthetic fibers has excellent heat resistance and does not adversely affect on the production environment.
The present invention is a processing agent for synthetic fibers, which essentially contains (A) a polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester that has a structure wherein a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid are ester-bonded to each other, and (B) a nonionic surfactant. The fatty acid contains linoleic acid and a fatty acid having 14-22 carbon atoms, said fatty acid being other than linoleic acid. The ratio of the linoleic acid in all of the fatty acids is 5-20% by weight, and the weight ratio of the total of the linoleic acid and the fatty acid having 14-22 carbon atoms, said fatty acid being other than linoleic acid, in all of the fatty acids is 95% by weight or more.
