Abstract:
This invention provides a processing device for vehicles, which comprises a control processing unit that executes control processing for controlling the operation of an electric device by executing a first program. This processing device comprises: an update determination unit that determines whether to update the first program; and a stop determination unit that determines whether the vehicle has stopped traveling if it is determined by the update determination unit that the first program is to be updated. The control processing unit executes the control processing by executing a second program if it is determined by the stop determination unit that the vehicle has stopped traveling. The data amount of the second program is smaller than the data amount of the first program.
