Abstract:
A processing facility is provided with a transport management means (HC) that manages shuttles (3) that transport items to be processed, said shuttles (3) traveling along transport lines connecting with multiple processing devices (1) and storage devices (Q) storing the items to be processed. The transport management means (HC) monitors process progress information sent from the processing devices (1) to a host management means (JC). The transport management means executes a control process wherein: a processing device (1) that has finished processing or is about to finish processing a processed item, is selected from among the multiple processing devices (1) by the transport management means (HC), said processing device (1) being selected as a preliminary transport origin before transport instruction information is sent from the host management means (JC); and a shuttle (3) is caused to travel to the processing device (1) selected as the preliminary transport origin for the purpose of outputting the item to be processed from the selected processing device (1).
