Abstract:
A method (S300) executed by a handheld device (10) and the handheld device (10). A USB interface of the handheld device (10) having an infrared remote control application is connected to a port (1233) of a display device (20) by means of a transfer cable (105) (303); the handheld device (10) determines that a preset source port of the display device (20) is not the connected port (1233), and automatically switches the source port to the connected port (1233) by means of the infrared remote control application (305); and the handheld device (10) sends a content to be displayed of the handheld device (10) to the display device (20) by means of the USB interface, the transfer cable (105), and the connected port (1233), so that the display device (20) displays the content to be displayed (307). The method can provide convenience for users, and greatly shorten the duration that the content to be displayed of the handheld device (10) is displayed on a screen of the display device (20).
