Abstract:
This processor for an electronic endoscope is configured to be provided with: a conversion means which converts pixel data configuring a color image of inside of a body cavity composed of n (n≧3) color components into pixel data composed of m (m≧2) color components, with m less than n; a correlation value calculating means which, in a color plane defined by m color components, configures a reference axis of a target disease that passes through a prescribed reference point, and, for each of the pixels in the aforementioned color image, calculates the correlation value with a prescribed reference of a target disease on the basis of the angle formed between said reference axis and a line segment that connects said reference point and the pixel-corresponding point corresponding to said pixel data; and an evaluation value calculating means which integrates the calculated correlation values at each pixel and sets the total of the correlation values obtained by integration as the evaluation value for the target disease.
