Abstract:
A product sample illuminating device (50) is provided with: a light source (52); a first light guiding plate (LGP1) that has a first lateral surface (IS) on which light from the light source is incident, a second lateral surface which is opposed to the first lateral surface and which emits one portion of the incident light from the first lateral surface, and a first front surface (ES) which emits the other portion of the incident light from the first lateral surface; and a second light guiding plate (LGP2) that has an incident surface (IS) on which the light from the second lateral surface of the first light guiding plate is incident, and a second front surface (ES) which emits the light incident on the incident surface. The first light guiding plate and the second light guiding plate are disposed to be perpendicular to each other, such that the back of a product sample (S) is illuminated by the light emitted from the first front surface of the first light guiding plate and the bottom surface or the top surface of the product sample is irradiated with the light emitted from the second front surface of the second light guiding plate.
