Abstract:
A product tracking method and apparatus for a client device. The client device is installed in a packaging structure of a product. The method comprises: in response to reaching a predetermined time interval since the last trigger, causing a client device to switch from a hibernate state to a communication state, and sending first device information to a server, wherein the first device information comprises a device identifier of the client device (210); in response to receiving positioning feedback information from the server, causing the client device to switch from the communication state to the hibernate state, wherein the positioning feedback information comprises information indicating that the client device has been positioned (220); and in response to detecting that a packaging structure is opened, causing the client device to switch from the hibernate state to the communication state and/or maintain the communication state, and sending second device information to the server, wherein the second device information comprises the device identifier of the client device and information indicating that the packaging structure is opened (230).
