Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing chiral isocyanides from amino acids which is characterized by the steps of: (a) formylating the amino acids with formic acid or methyl formiate, (b) allowing the free carboxyl function to react with a protective group, and (c) dehydrating by means of an auxiliary base to give the chiral isocyanide.
