Abstract:

In the present invention, sheets (2a, 2b) between which elastic members (10) are sandwiched are ultrasonically welded while pressure is being applied thereto with the use of: a conveyance roller (210) which has an outer peripheral surface for conveying the sheets (2a, 2b) between which the elastic members (10) are sandwiched, in the longitudinal direction of the sheets (2a, 2b), and which has convexities (212) formed on the outer peripheral surface; and a nipping device (220). The convexities (212) are shaped so as to extend along a line intersecting the direction of conveyance by the conveyance roller (210). In each convexity (212), portions that are spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction thereof have provided thereto a plurality of grooves which extend in the direction of conveyance by the conveyance roller (210) and into which portions of the sheets (2a, 2b) where the elastic members (10) are arranged are respectively inserted.
