Abstract:
In the present invention, 1,5-pentamethylendiamine is produced by using lysine decarboxylase and/or a mutant lysine decarboxylase to cause a lysine decarboxylation reaction in L-lysine or a salt thereof in the presence of a substance that prevents the slowing or stopping of the lysine decarboxylation reaction.
