Abstract:
The present invention provides a production method for an aqueous resin dispersion that can form a coating having superior water resistance and adhesion to a polypropylene substrate. Specifically, the present invention provides a production method for an aqueous resin dispersion, said production method including a step in which a polyolefin dispersion (A), a radical polymerizable monomer (B), and a surfactant (C) for emulsion polymerization are mixed and polymerization occurs, wherein the mixed quantity of the radical polymerizable monomer (B) is 0.5-2 times the solid content of the polyolefin dispersion (A) in parts by mass, and the mixed quantity of the solid content of the surfactant (C) for emulsion polymerization is 0-3 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the radical polymerizable monomer (B).
