Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a high-purity aqueous solution of a zinc halide from a mixture that contains a zinc halide. The production method for an aqueous solution of a zinc halide comprises: an addition step for adding water and a hydrogen halide to a mixture that contains zinc, a zinc halide, and an alcohol that has three or fewer carbons so as to obtain a liquid mixture; and a distillation step for distilling the liquid mixture so as to remove the alcohol that has three or fewer carbons from the liquid mixture and obtain an aqueous solution of a zinc halide.
