Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel method for industrially stably producing an aromatic bisether compound at a high yield. As a solution to the problem, provided is a production method that is for an aromatic bisether compound represented by formula (3), and that is characterized in that, during a reaction between an aromatic dihydroxy compound (1) represented by formula (1) and a halide (2) represented by formula (2), the amount of water in a reaction solution is in the range of 0.01-1.5 wt% with respect to the aromatic dihydroxy compound (1) in the reaction solution.
