Abstract:
The present invention provides a production method of calcium carbonate whereby carbon dioxide is immobilized as calcium carbonate in a safe and simple manner. The production method of calcium carbonate disclosed herein comprises the following steps. Step (S1) for preparing a slurry containing calcium hydroxide. Step (S2) for, in a container configured to prevent carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere, generating microbubbles containing carbon dioxide from a microbubble generator provided with a porous section having micropores and thus supplying carbon dioxide into the slurry containing calcium hydroxide to thereby precipitate calcium carbonate. The microbubble generator supplies carbon dioxide at a flow rate of 40 to 2500 ml/min per mol of calcium hydroxide.
