Abstract:
The production method for a SiC/SiC composite material according to the present invention comprises: an impregnation step (S2) for impregnating a substrate with a slurry containing particles of a flaky lubricating material to obtain an impregnated body; a drying step (S3) for drying out a solvent of the slurry from the impregnated body; an interface layer formation step (S4) for bending the impregnated body, and transferring the particles of the flaky lubricating material to the surfaces of SiC fibers with the particles being stretched, to form an interface layer on the surfaces; and a matrix formation step (S5) for forming a SiC matrix inside the substrate on which the interface layer has been formed. Since a thin interface layer of the flaky lubricating material can be formed on the surfaces of the SiC fibers by transferring the flaky lubricating material to the surfaces of the SiC fibers, the interface layer reaching inside of the substrate can be easily formed.
