Abstract:
A 1–amino cyclopropane carboxylic acid nonhydrate can be produced as a result of: using a tertiary amine to treat a 1–amino cyclopropane carboxylic acid hydrochloride in the presence of a C3–C4 alcohol and water; maintaining the reaction mixture at no more than 50°C; filtering crystals of precipitated 1–amino cyclopropane carboxylic acid 0.5 hydrate; and heating the obtained crystals to 80–245°C.
