Abstract:
Provided are a production method and a production device for an excrement treatment material enabling suppression of emission of an offensive odor generated from excreted urine. This production device is a device for producing an excrement treatment material comprising a plurality of water-absorbing granules, and includes a granulator 10. The granulator 10 forms a granulated substance that constitutes each granule by extrusion-granulating a material to be granulated. The granulator 10 has a die 12 and a roller 14. The die 12 is provided with a plurality of through holes 13 for passing the material to be granulated therethrough. The roller 14 presses the material to be granulated into each through hole 13 while rolling around the central axis of the die 12. The diameter of the roller 14 is non-uniform.
