Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing an epoxy compound by reacting a compound that comprises a carbon-carbon double bond with hydrogen peroxide in an environment in which the compound that comprises a carbon-carbon double bond, a hydrogen peroxide solution, a powder of a solid carrier, and a powder of a solid catalyst are present. The solid catalyst comprises an isopoly acid, and said isopoly acid is produced from a catalyst raw material that includes at least one substance selected from the group consisting of (a) tungstic acid and salts thereof and (b) alkali earth metals and salts and cationic polymers thereof.
